“Mizrah” drawn on glass. [Central Europe, 18th / 19th century]. A frame in the shape of a holy ark, large Torah crown and a pair of birds. At the center, within a circle is the word “Mizrah” and round it verses from Psalms. On both sides of the circle the inscription: “From this side spirit of life”. At the bottom part other verses from Psalms, drawing of a lion (having two tails) and two menorahs (seven branches). Height: 22.5 cm., width: 21 cm. Break in the upper right corner. Part of background faded. Wooden frame: 29X28 cm.
