Incomplete copy, with leaves supplied from a different copy. The replacement leaves contain glosses in early Sephardic script (approximately from the time of the printing), with textual corrections and notes regarding textual variations (many of these corrections appear in the glosses copied by R. Moshe Zacuto and R. Yosef Camis, published in Derech Emet, Venice 1658). Several glosses contain comments on the contents, sources and references.
Incomplete, damaged copy. 11-12, 17-39, 42-85, 90-97, 103-109, 114-120, 122-128, 130-174, 177-189, 194-208, 216-232, 235-255, 257-264 leaves. Leaves 40-41, 98-102, 110-113, 161, 209-215 were supplied from a different copy. Lacking 34 leaves (throughout book): 1-10, 13-16, 86-89, 121, 129, 175-176, 190-193, 233-234, 256, 265-269. Approx. 19 cm. Fair-poor condition. Stains, including dampstains (several leaves with dark stains). Tears, creases and significant wear. Worming, affecting text (significant worming to several leaves). Replacement leaves detached. Large open tear to leaf 161, affecting text, repaired with paper (leaf 161 from a different copy is enclosed). Singeing to one leaf, affecting text. Margins trimmed with damage to text. Many censorship expurgations. Handwritten inscriptions. Old parchment binding, worn, with damage and worming.
