Three-branched wall-candlestick, for Sabbath candles, created at "Bezalel". Jerusalem, [1910s].
Brass sheet, repouseé. Marked: "Bezalel Yerushalem" (Hebrew).
Backplate ornamented with a pair of peacocks, a gazelle, a lion and flowers, fruit and plants; in the center and on top are circles that serve as reflectors; three branches protrude to the front with a Hebrew inscription between them - "Sabbath Kodesh". A pair of Shofars appear on the bottom, with two branches and the signature "Bezalel Yerushalem".
Length: 31 cm, width: 24.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Corrosion. Perforations on margins (original). Missing a brass plate at the back of the candlestick.
