The Religious Youth Movement "Hashalshelet" was founded for Jewish youth in Holland after the Holocaust. Its goal was to cultivate values of Judaism and tradition in the midst of "She'erit HaPleita" children. This included many orphans hidden in Christian homes during the Holocaust who never received any Jewish education. The movement published a monthly journal for youth named "Hashalshelet". For many children this journal was the first source of Torah thoughts they encountered after living for long periods in non-Jewish homes. See attached material. * Attached is an issue of "Hashalshelet", no. 3. Amsterdam, Pesach 1959.
Size: 32X38 cm. Good condition.
