A velvet cover for a Tallit bag. [Persia or Iraq, early 20th century].
Gilt metal-threads embroidery on velvet.
The cover is decorated on both sides with a Star of David with the word "Zion" in the center. Additional letters at the tips of the Star of David which is surrounded by geometric and vegetal decorations.
On upper part of the cover is a ribbon embroidered with metal-threads.
Length: 30.5 cm, width: 27 cm. Good condition. Wear.
