An Israeli-British entertainer and a self-proclaimed psychic. Geller gained notice in Israel when he started to perform magic-shows for limited audiences in night clubs in Tel-Aviv and got much coverage in the media. Disclosing his secrets in some of the leading Israeli newspapers of the period made him leave Israel and seek his luck abroad. Geller won much success in the US and Europe following some television performances in which he demonstrated some psychic powers. Geller also gained much attention from the scientific community when he was asked to let his abilities be examined.
