Illustrated by Joseph Schoor. New York: Aleph, 1939. [16] ff., approx. 22.5 cm. Good condition. Stains (numerous stains to cover). Small worming hole to top left corners of most leaves (not affecting text or illustrations). Inked stamps with handwritten notations on title page and inside back cover. Two leaves detached. 2. "Alephbeis, Ershter Teil" ["The Alphabet, Part I"]. Bucharest: Melukhe-Farlag, 1949. Issued by the "Ministerium far Efentlekhen Unterikht" (Ministry of Public Education). With numerous illustrations. Toward the end, pictures of (and words of praise for) Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin. 79, [1] pp. + folded alphabet table, approx. 24 cm. Good condition. Minor stains and blemishes. Numerous stains, some wear and abrasion to cover. Open tears to spine.
