1. Il Barbiere Di Siviglia, by Gioachino Rossini. Paris: G. Ricordi & C, [early 20th century]. On page 1 starts a handwritten translation, within the book (in Hebrew) and continues throughout the opera. "The Barber of Seville, Hebrew translation – Meir Friedman, Tel-Aviv, 1924, corrections added on April 1959 for the "Israeli Opera" and later on". 327 pp, 27.5 cm. Fair condition, loose binding, spotting.
2. La Juive, by Jacque Halevy, Paris: Henry Lemoine & Co., [late 19th century]. The opera is translated into Hebrew within the book, with a comment on p. 2: "translation was done in Tel-Aviv, 1924". 403 pp, 30 cm. Fair condition. Torn spine, with adhesive tape.
Attached: documents of registration of the translations in ACUM organization, and legal documents from a lawsuit brought by the widow and son of the translator against ACUM (1940s).
