Two pendants, shaped like stylized leaf, surmounted by suspension loops. Afghanistan or Iran, [late 19th or early 20th century].
Silver, cast, soldered, punched, and engraved; soldered silver thread; chased.
1. Engraved Hebrew inscriptions: initials of Psalms 121, ending with name of amulet owner: "Sarah daughter of Zilpah." 10X7.5 cm. Reference: Feuchtwanger Collection, item nos. 951-52.
2. Engraved Hebrew inscriptions: acronym of "Ana Bekoach" (along perimeter); with a kabbalistic "Magic Square"; Initials adding up to the numerical value of 15; and more. Bottom engraved with name of amulet owner: "Batsheva daughter of Tzruyah." 7.5X8 cm.
