4 letters / copies of letters of the Torah V'yahadut La'am Organization, to various bodies in the government offices, regarding monies and allocations for the organization. Jerusalem, 1978.
The content of the letters includes a report on the organization's activities and a request for government allocations for its support.
The signature of The Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter, author of the Pnei Menachem, later to be the Admor of Gur, appears on all the letters. Amongst his various jobs, he served in those days as chairman of Torah V'yahadut La'am.
Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter (1916-1996), the youngest son of the elder Admor of Gur, author of Imrei Emet, served as Head of Yeshivat Sfat Emet, was a member of the Mo'etzet Gedolei Hatorah, very active in community matters and served as a member of the management of the Agudat Yisrael Institutes. After the death of his brothers, the Admorim author of Beit Yisrael and author of Lev Simcha, he was crowned as Admor and carried the burden until his death in 1996.
