Rabbi Eliyahu Kletzky-Kletzkin (1852-1932), of the greatest, most famous Geonim of his time, son of the Chabad Gaon Rabbi Naftali Hertz Kletzkin (disciple of the "Chatam Sofer") and son-in-law of the Lithuanian Gaon Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Lifshitz, Av Beit Din of Novardok and Schedlitz. By the time he had reached the age of 18, the Malbim had written about him that: "He is almost one of a kind in his generation, as knowledgeable in the area of Talmud and Talmud related matters as one of the Geonim. His diligence is wonderful and he is a wonderful manג€¦he has great Yir'at Shamayim and follows the path of holiness and purity." Served as Rabbi of Brezi, Marimpolis and Lublin, Gaon of tremendous depth, contemporary Geonim of Lithuania and Poland sent their questions to him. Moved to Jerusalem in 1925. Authored many books.
