Comprehensive study of Palestine and its history according to the Bible and the New Testament, by the English churchman and historian Thomas Fuller (1608-1661).
Accompanied by engravings (most of them on double plates): a title page engraving and an engraving depicting nobility emblems; a large, folded map of Palestine; a map of Jerusalem and maps of the territories of the 12 Tribes; and plates of plans and illustrations depicting the Temple, various pagan rituals mentioned in the Bible, and more.
Originally, the book contained 30 engravings. This copy contains 28 complete engravings and two incomplete ones (the two were originally printed on double plates. Half of each of them is missing).

Tears and worming, affecting the text and the engravings. Several of the engravings are reinforced with tape. Worming and open tears to the folded map of Palestine (one of them the size of approx. 3X16 cm); the map is mounted to thick paper for reinforcement. One plate is detached and one plate is loose. Ink notations (old) on several leaves and on the inside of the binding. Leather-covered binding, damaged and scuffed, with tears along the spine. Part of the spine is missing.
