Opening: $100
Sold for: $125
Including buyer's premium
Ten photographs documenting conferences of workers' organizations in Palestine. [Palestine, ca. 1930s to 1940s].
The photographs depict workers in official costumes, raising flags and parading at stadiums and various fields. Among the organizations: "HaPoel", "Poalei HaOr", "The Council of Urban Female Workers" in Tel-Aviv, and more. One of the photographs is captioned in the plate (Hebrew): "Conference of HaPoel" (presumably – the fourth conference of "HaPoel" which took place in 1935 in Tel-Aviv).
Divided postcard backs. Stamps of photographer Ephraim Erde on verso of four of them (slightly different).
Possibly, one of the photographs documents a conference of a movement that does not belong to a workers' organization.
Approx. 14X9 cm. Good condition. Minor blemishes. One photograph has a long tear at top.
