Some are annotated and dated in pencil on the reverse (at a later date): "Surveyors under the ancient Roman bridge before starting construction in Naharayim", "A group of surveyors on its way to work near Naharayim", tents for the surveyors, and two photographs of Pinchas Rutenberg, one with Herbert Samuel and the other with Winston Churchill [1921]. Various sizes and conditions, [some are possibly later printings of the original photographs?].
