"OZET" organization (Society for Settling Toiling Jews on the Land) was active in the Soviet Union from 1925 until 1938, encouraging Jewish agricultural settlement and locating suitable sites for settlement. In 1928, the organization undertook organization of Jewish settlement in Birobidzhan.
