Shulchan Aruch, Yoreh Deah, with commentary of Taz and Shach, Pri Megadim, Pitchei Teshuva and Chavat Da'at. Zhitomir, 1865.
On book leaves many signatures of Rabbi Shmuel Heller [he was accustomed to signing in many places in his books], and also glosses [in his handwriting?]. Likewise, several signatures of "Yitzchak [Lorberbaum], the grandson of the Ga'on of Lissa".
Rabbi Shmuel Heller (1786-1884, Otzar HaRabbanim 19134). A Torah giant, proficient in many areas including medicine, was raised in the home of the Seer of Lublin and followed his advice to immigrate to Eretz Yisrael. Served as rabbi of Safed for 60 years.
Rabbi Yitzchak Lorberbaum, grandson of Rabbi Ya'akov Lorberbaum, author of Chavat Da'at and Netivot HaMishpat. Son in law of Rabbi Shmuel Heller.
Faulty pagination (missing: first title page). Separate title-pages for the laws of treifot, melicha and ta'arovot.
