Oblong folio. 30 lithographs by Issachar Ber Ryback (1897-1935) – title page and 29 illustrations depicting Jewish life in the Shtetls in Ukraine before their destruction in the pogroms following World War I.
[2], III-XXXI, [1] leaf (Yiddish table of contents slit-mounted on last page), 49.5X33 cm. Re-bound with new tissue guards (original purple cloth laid down). Good condition. Reinforced with paper strips to inner hinges and between the two last leaves. Stains (lithographs mostly clean). Minor blemishes. Browning to table of contents. Stains, tears and blemishes to binding.
