"Shiviti" written on parchment. [Jerusalem, ca. 1930s-40s].
Parchment; paper; ink.
"Shiviti" on parchment, with "LaMenatze'ach" Menorah in the center. The "Shiviti" is attached to a leaf of paper bearing a handwritten inscription: "Important Note": "we announce hereby…as the Chida, may he rest in peace, wrote in his book Ziporen Shamir…whoever reads LaMenatze'ach…is considered as if he lit up the Temple's Menorah and no evil will ever happen to him" (Hebrew).
Size: 23.5X20.5 cm. "Shiviti" in fair condition, paper leaf in good condition. Stains. Held in an old frame, somewhat damaged.
