Signed owner's inscription: "Moshe son of the Gaon Rabbi Bunim". Another signature by Rabbi "Lipman David Tevli" and many inscriptions in foreign languages.
Rabbi Moshe Ginz-Schlesinger, son of Rabbi Simcha Bunim Eiger Rabbi of Mattersdorf. Disciple of his uncle Rabbi Akiva Eiger. From 1830, he was accepted to Rabbi Leib ben Shaul's kloiz in Hamburg. (In Igrot Sofrim, letters by Rabbi Akiva Eiger, 22, Rabbi Akiva Eiger writes to his brother: "to bring the good news that my friend's son Rabbi Moshe has been accepted to dwell in the Beit Midrash in Hamburg"). He assisted and prepared for print much of his uncle's Torah thoughts and is mentioned in the introduction. He is mentioned dozens of times in the writings of Rabbi Akiva Eiger and the Chatam Sofer. Died 1857.
