Rabbi Moshe Shlomo Harkavi, a renowned Torah scholar and a leader of the Novardok community, son of Rabbi Gershon Harkavi of Novardok and Safed (died in c. 1828, was a scholar form the "Vilna Ga'on's Kloiz" and one of the founders of the" Beit Midrash HaGra" in Safed), father of the Harkavi family famous in Russia, which has rabbis, learned men and public figures.
