A portfolio with twenty original lithographs in black and white by Robert Genin (all of them signed); with an introduction in German. Copy no. 2 out of an edition of 15, with an additional color painting by Genin. The present copy includes an additional original gouache painting identical to one of the lithographs in the portfolio. Handsome parchment portfolio with gilt decoration.
Robert Genin (1884-1941?), Russian-Jewish artist. Resided for a long time in Germany (Munich and Berlin) and was a member of the Expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider), together with Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc, and others.
[3] leaves + [20] plates, 44 cm (size of lithographs varies). Illustration: 26.5X21 cm. Overall good condition. Slight damages to portfolio. Signature on title page.
