Rabbi Meir Shapiro (1887-1934), was Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin, founder of the Daf Yomi movement, and one of the leading rabbis of his time. He was a member of Mo'etzet Gedolei HaTorah, served as Rabbi of Piotrkow and Lublin.
