Manuscript, regulations for congregation of Maghrebis [natives of countries of northwest Africa; Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia]. Jerusalem, Kislev (1866). Copy of version of regulations and copy of signatures of rabbis. Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shaul Ya’akov Elyashar (Rabbi Yisa Beracha), and rabbis and leaders of sect of Maghrebis in Jerusalem: Rabbi Moshe Malka, Rabbi Avraham Ya’akov Pinto, Rabbi Shimon Charosh, Rabbi David Amos and Rabbi Shlomo Abishadid. Regulations were stipulated by the Yisa Beracha after disagreements arose regarding the authority of sect supervisors to manage revenue and expenditures. These regulations determined the organization and appointment of supervisors for Kollel expenditures and royal taxes, supervisors for Torah study and Torah scholars, and appointees in charge of the poor.
