Qussit Al-Zanzaliyah, lamentation for an earthquake that took place in Aleppo in 1822, to be recited on Tishah BeAv. Jerusalem: Shmuel HaLevi Zuckerman and his partners, [1885].


The Aleppo earthquake in Av of 1822 caused the deaths of tens of thousands and destroyed much of the city, including much of the Jewish community (by one account, approximately 600 Jews were killed). Many Jewish families left the city for Damascus.
