Dramatic poem by one of the leading Jewish writers in Poland between the two world ward, Alter Katsizne (1885-1941), who participated in the modernistic almanach "Ringen" and in the literary group "Chaliastre". A prelude precedes the text ("preludye" as it appears in the book), which in fact is a lithograph by Yossef Seidenbeutel. A small illustration signed H.B. (Henryk Berlewi) appears on the last page.
