"HaHamam" club was founded in 1961 by Haim Hefer and Dan Ben Amotz in a neglected Turkish Hamam building in Jaffa. During the five years of its existence many local entertainment performances were held there, most of them directed by Shumel Bunim, with the participation of many artists including Uri Zohar, Arik Einstein, Rachel Attas, Dan Almagor, Naomi Shemer and Amos Keinan. Haim Hefer and Dan Ben Amotz composed most of the material and Avraham Deshe (Pashanel) assisted with the administration. The programs were extremely popular and very soon this club turned into an important institute in the cultural scene of Israel. In 1966 "HaHamam" was closed down due to financial difficulties and reopened only in 1982. Lot of 6 booklets. General condition is good.
