Принцесса Турандот – Театрально-трагическая китайская сказка в 5 актах [Princess Turandot – A Theatrical-Tragic Chinese Tale in 5 Acts], by Carlo Gozzi. Moscow-Petrograd (St. Petersburg): государственное издательство, 1923. Russian.

A volume commemorating the theatrical production of "Princess Turandot" by Carlo Gozzi; cover and lithographs by Ignaty Nivinsky (Игна́тий Игна́тьевич Ниви́нский; 1881-1933). The volume includes the text of the play itself, introductory remarks to the production, lithographs and photographic prints of the actors and stage, musical and vocal scores.
This production, the last and most important in the life of director and actor Yevgeny Vakhtangov (Евге́ний Багратио́нович Вахта́нгов; 1883-1922), who was among the founders of the Habima Theater in Moscow, was staged by him in 1922 at the Moscow Art Theatre and is still considered a theatrical masterpiece. Later, the Moscow Art Theatre was named after Vakhtangov.
The set design for the show was prepared by Ignaty Nivinsky, a painter and designer whose stage designs left a mark on the Russian avant-garde movement. The volume includes lithographic plates, some of which present Nivinsky's set designs for the show.
