Seven prayer books (Sidur) and a Passover Haggadah, in olive wood bindings. [Eretz Israel and Vienna, 2nd half of 19th century and early 20th century].
Carved and inlaid olive wood; printing; ink.
1-2. Sidur "Chukat Olam", according to Ha'ari, by Shlomo Mussayov [Mussayof]. Shemul Halevi Zuckermann and partner printing press. Parts two and four, first edition: 1893-4. Olive wood binding. Front is decorated with vegetal patterns and an inlaid colorful border; the word "Yerushalem" is printed in the center with a relief of the Western Wall (missing from the second part). Reverse of bindings is decorated with reliefs of the Western Wall and the holy sites.
3-4. Two prayer books, "Zichron Yerushalem". Frumkin printing press, Jerusalem, 1910. Olive wood binding with a relief of the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Name of manufacturer of bindings is engraved on the reverse: "Oholiav Yerushalayim".
5. Sidur Zichron Yerushalayim. Frumkin Printing Press, Jerusalem, 1900. Olive wood binding with a relief of the tombs of Davidic Kings.
6. Sidur Tife'eret Zion. Levy and partners printing press, Jerusalem. Olive wood binding with an inlay depicting Rachel's Tomb. First leaf missing.
7. Sidur Ve'ani Tefila. Yosef Shlesinger publishing, Vienna, 1866. Olive wood binding with a relief of Rachel's Tomb.
8. Passover Hagadah, with German translation. Harel Kahana printing press, Jerusalem, 1904. Olive wood binding with relief of the Western Wall.
