The postcard was sent to members of the committee in charge of a reception in honor of Prime Minster David Ben-Gurion. The receiver of this postcard had to cut off the label "David Ben-Gurion Welcome" and attach it to the lapel. Ben-Gurion's visit to the USA in May 1951 was the first visit of an Israeli prime minister to the USA and is considered an important mile-stone of diplomatic relations between Israel and the United States. 8X14 cm. Very good condition. Sent to Dr. Max Nussbaum.
