In the center appears the fighter Ziva Arbel armed with a pistol. Ziva Arbel participated in the battles in Safed, Lod, invasions into Syria and Lebanon, operation GYS and operation Yoav. She was the only woman participating in the battle to occupy Lod side by side with 136 soldiers. After the battle she was photographed by a photographer of "BaMachane"magazine, Boris Carmi while attending a gathering of fighters in Ben Shemen forest, when fighting ended in July 1948.
