Twenty one photos portraying the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp soon after its liberation by British soldiers, circa April-May 1945.
The photos portray survivors in very severe physical condition, bodies scattered in the camp, medical treatment, burning of the camp's buildings (probably on May 21), etc.
It seems that the photos were taken by a British soldier during the first few weeks following the camp's liberation. Some photos are titled on the reverse (in pencil). Contained in an envelope with a British postal ink stamp of November 1945. 5.5X8 cm. Good condition.
