Photograph album from Palestine. [1940s].
The album leaves are mounted with 71 photographs. Some document British soldiers (in various parades and operations), and one shows a policeman of the Palestine Police Force. Many of the photographs document Palestinian Arabs: photographs showing fishing activities, dynamite explosions and more.
The rest of the photographs are personal (boxing championships, a soccer game, riding a camel, and more) and photographs of landscapes and various sites in the country; including the Sea Mosque in Acre, the Old City in Jerusalem, the beach and ships at sea, and more.
71 photographs in different sizes: approx. 7X10 cm to 12.5X18 cm. Album size: 23X33 cm. Good condition. A few photographs have been removed from the album. One photograph partly detached.
