The holy Ga’on Rabbi David Abuchatzeira, rabbi of Tafilalt, was brutally killed by the Moroccan authorities upon the termination of World War I. His younger brother Rabbi Yisrael (the Baba Sali) traveled to Eretz Israel for the purpose of printing the books of his brother, a famous journey in which his supreme ability in Torah and in the wisdom of Kabbalah was revealed by the scholars of Jerusalem. His introductions which he wrote for his brother’s books include excepts and commentaries from all parts of the Torah. [Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky wrote a comprehensive commentary on these introductions].
