The story "Wedding in the Forest" is a translation of a German story by Adolf Holst. It tells the story of a wedding of dwarfs and small animals in the forest and is illustrated with charming illustrations.
The illustrator Else Wenz-Viëtor (1882-1973) was an important German Art Nouveau style artist, with a sensitive perception of nature, animals and plants.
Accordion-folded sheet. Length of sheet when open, 39X11.5 cm, in a binding 12.5X10.5 cm. Fair condition. Adhesive tape to most folding marks. Damage to binding.
