It includes a series of etchings of Moses smashing the Tablets of the Law, after a series of illustrations by Parmigianino, and a series of etchings, "Maschere" ("Masks"), after illustrations by Giulio Romano.
Presumably, this volume was printed from the original plates in the early 19th century. A gilt impression on the spine: "Lanier's Drawing Book 1656".

A description of a journey made by the English cleric Henry Maundrell from Aleppo (Syria) to Jerusalem. Accompanied by nine engraved-plates (five of them folded) – plans and illustrations of views and sites in Syria, Palestine and Lebanon (a view of Aleppo, Solomon's Pools, Mount Carmel, Mount Tabor, the Temple of Baalbek and more). An additional engraving on the title page.
In 1697, Henry Maundrell (1665-1701), chaplain to the "Levant Company" in Aleppo, and fourteen companions, went on a three-months Easter pilgrimage to Jerusalem. They travelled from Aleppo, passed through the Syrian and Lebanese coastline to Acre and from there, via the Jezreel valley and Samaria to Jerusalem. The book documenting the journey was published after Maundrell's death and is considered a reliable documentation of Palestine. It was reprinted in many editions and translated into various languages [for additional information, see: "Kardom, Bi-Monthly for Guides" (Hebrew), issue 13-14, January 1981. P. 79].
