Early ownership inscription on title page, in Italian-Ashkenazic script: "Heilpron, 1615". Several handwritten corrections in the margins. On verso of the last leaf: two-line gloss (in Italian script), pertaining to astrology.
At the beginning of Ohev Mishpat, before the commentary to the verses, thirty-five chapters discussing G-d's supervision on the world and other philosophical topics. At the end of the book, four poems in praise of the book, by three different writers (including R. Tzemach son of Shlomo Duran, grandson of the Rashbatz).
212 leaves. 20 cm. Light-colored, high-quality paper. Good-fair condition. Stains and light wear. Dampstains (some leaves with large, significant dampstains). Marginal tears to title page, slightly affecting border. Small tear to one leaf, slightly affecting text. Handwritten markings and inscriptions. Early leather binding, damaged and torn.
