Travelogue by Nikitin following a visit to the West. The cover illustration, featuring a portrait of the author, is the work of Russian artist Yury Annenkov (1889-1974). This likeness also appears in "Portraits," Annenkov's well-known book, printed two years earlier in St. Petersburg.
