Rabbi Nissim Shlomo Algazi (1610-1683, Otzar HaRabbanim 18350), exceptional genius, orator and prolific author. Of the great sages of Izmir, he came to Jerusalem to escape the persecutions of the followers of Shabtai Zvi for his opposition to their leader.
