Mayim Amukim, responsa of Rabbi Eliyahu Mizrachi (Re'em) and Rabbi Eliyahu Ben Chaim (Ra'anach). Venice, 1647. First edition.
Signatures and inscriptions of many owners: On the second page inscription in Oriental handwriting by the son of the Chikrei Lev: "I have bought for full price for My Master, My Father, The Great Rabbi Yoseph Chazan…". An inscription appears on title page of book signed by Rabbi "Nissim Rozilio" who bought the book when on a mission from Eretz Yisrael to Constantinople. Signatures by Rabbi "Chaim David Chazan" [1791-1869. Son of the Chikrei Lev, Chief Rabbi of Constantinople and Rishon L'Tzion in Jerusalem].
On Leaf 21/2 handwritten gloss - completion from a manuscript, [possibly this gloss was written by the Chikrei Lev]. On Leaf 67/2 a long scholarly gloss in Oriental handwriting (cut off).
[2], 160, [2] leaves. 28.5 cm. Fair-poor condition, heavy moisture damages, especially to first and last leaves. Antique leather cover with gold engraving, slightly worn.
