Noam Megadim UKevod HaTorah, homiletics, pilpul, ethics and Chassidut on the Torah portions, by R. Eliezer HaLevi Horowitz, Av Beit Din of Tarnogród. Lviv: Aharon son of Chaim David Segal, [1807]. First edition.
The author, R. Eliezer HaLevi Horowitz, Av Beit Din of Tarnogród (d. 1806), a holy and eminent Torah scholar, disciple of R. Elimelech of Lizhensk and the Maggid of Zlotchov. In this book, he quotes numerous Torah teachings from prominent early Chassidic masters. The book bears 11 approbations by foremost leaders of that generation, highlighting the holiness and asceticism of the author.


[4], 102; 76, [2] leaves. Leaves 13-14 from the second sequence are bound out of sequence, after leaf 10. 21 cm. Fair condition. Many stains, including large dampstains. Wear. Tears, including open tears to title page and several other leaves, affecting title frame and text, restored with paper filling (title frame and part of the text on the reverse side of the title page supplied by hand). Worming, affecting text, partially restored with paper filling. New binding.
