Montefiore's portrait surrounded by a wreath of branches and flowers, bound with a ribbon; on the ribbon appears the inscription "Think and Thank", and "Jerusalem / Damascus 1840 / Russia 1846 / Rome 1858 / Morocco 1867", marking aid-operations by Montefiore for the Jewish people throughout the world during the 19th century.
