Moses Montefiore, signature on a handwritten letter. Ramsgate, England, [November 1883].
Long and cordial letter of gratitude, addressed to Rabbi Avraham Freish Kurrein, Av-Beit-Din of Barlerton [probably Barberton, South Africa?]. The emblem of the Montefiore family is embossed on top of the leaf with the writing "Yerushalem" in Hebrew. The letter is in Hebrew; ending with the signature of Moses Montefiore in English. Leaf 33 cm. Very good condition. Folding marks with slight damages.
