Minchat Yehudah, explanations on all issues of the Tractate Gittin, Rabbi Yehuda [Mashitz], Rabbi of Vilyaka. Part 1, Vilna, 1913.
Approbation by the author's uncle (mother's brother) the Ridbaz, Rabbi of Slutzk and Safed. Tamuz ,1903.
At the top of the title page, a long dedication handwritten and signed by the author, to Rabbi Yitzchak Danoshevsky, blessing him with multiple blessings and with New Year wishes.
The author, Rabbi Yehuda Mashitz, a prominent Lithuanian rabbi (he was killed in the Holocaust in 1940), successor of his father-in-law, Rabbi Shalom, Rabbi of Vilyaka, descendent of the Rebbes of Koidenov.
Four lines of dedication, the first line is faded.
[2], 67 leaves, [1 leaf – Lu'ach HaTikun], 31.5 cm.. Brittle and dark paper, good-fair condition. Moth marks. Original binding, worn.
Rare. Most Copies were lost during World War I.
The listing in the Bibliography Institute CD is mistaken and was listed only according to the stereotype edition (New York 1961). Does not appear in the Vinograd and Rosenfeld CD.
