Midrash Rabbah with commentary Matnot Kehuna. Thessaloniki, [1594-1595].
Contains glosses by publisher, Rabbi Yehuda Gedalia. Matnot Kehuna commentary printed on margins of leaf only from Sefer Shemot. At end of Sefer Bereshit printers state: “…glosses by Rabbi Yissachar Ber son of Naftali of Szczebrzeszyn HaKohen known as Matnot Kehuna have fallen into our hands and we agreed to include them in the printing”. Matnot Kehuna commentary for Sefer Bereshit was printed separately in 1595. In this copy this publication was bound following the title page, preceding Sefer Bereshit. Gloss in Oriental handwriting. Signatures: “Young David ben Chaim” and “Chaim ben Chaim”.
236, 238-239, 241 leaves of Matnot Kehuda commentary on Bereshit (missing 3 leaves). Fair-poor condition. Approx. 7 leaves incomplete, restored with scotch tape. Severe stains and wear, restorations with scotch tape and handwriting, mildew traces. New binding.
