Midrash BeChidush, Passover Haggadah with commentary by Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Foa. Venice: Bragadini brothers by Gio. Calleoni, 1641. First edition.
The author, Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Foa (d. 1659), disciple of R. Menachem Azariah (Rama) of Fano and one of the leading kabbalists in Italy, headed the Aluvim society in Reggio. At the end of the introduction are printed signatures of 25 members of this society, disciples of the author who published this book. At the end of the book is a "Confession for Jewish sinners" (a prayer written by the author, bound in this copy before the "Haggadah to be recited after the meal").
This commentary was reprinted in Leshon Chachamim, Livorno, 1809, and in the Tefillah LeMoshe siddur, Przemyśl, 1892.

36 leaves (leaves 33-36 bound out of sequence). 19.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, including dark stains. Light wear. Close trimming bordering text, slightly affecting title frame and headers. Old paper binding.
