Obverse: Portrait of Moses Mendelssohn, inscription: "Moses Mendelssohn" and artist's signature. Reverse: skull with a butterfly fluttering its wings and the writing: "Phaedon" and "Natus MDCCXXIX" [born, 1729]. Diameter: 40 mm.
