Marriage certificate, second wedding of the Ga'on Rabbi Reuven Katz. Petach Tikva, 1958.
On the bottom rabinical confirmation: "I confirm that this wedding of the couple was held in Petach Tikva…and listed in the Rabanut" instead of the authorized Rabbi the groom himself signed[!] as he was the Chief Rabbi of the city.
Rabbi Reuven Katz (1880-1963, Otzar Harabbanim17705), an exceptional Ga'on, a leading Rabbi in Russia and Eretz Yisrael. Author of "Degel Reuven". Av-Beit-Din of Amdor and Stewisk. In 1931 moved to serve as Chief rabbi of Petach Tikva and head of Yeshivat Lomza in the city. His wife died in 1954 and in 1958 he married the widow of Rabbi Elazar Kenig of Givat Shaul.
