The Mareh Cohen, an index of the Zohar classified by weekly Parashiot and by topic, authored by Rabbi Issachar son of Naftali Katz [author of the “Matnot Kehuna” on Midrash Rabba]. Amsterdam, [1673]. Second edition.
Ink-stamped by the Admor of Strikov – Rabbi “Menachem Mendel Landa from Biala" (who passed away in 1936, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, Vol.1, p. 237), was the son of the Admor Rabbi Dov Berish Landa of Biala. Founded his Hassidic court in Strikov in 1910. [His son was the Admor Rabbi Ya’akov Yitzchak Dan who was killed during the Holocaust, and his grandson, Rabbi Avraham Landa, Admor of Strikov in Bnei Brak, was among the Brisker Rabbi’s most prominent disciples. His brother’s son, the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Landa of Shidlovtze-Biala was the author of the “Shemesh U-Magen” and passed away in the USA in 1937. The ink-stamp apparently belongs to his uncle, since it is dated from an earlier time].
