The depicted area stretches between Greece, Cyprus and Lower Egypt in the west and Kyrgyzstan, Tibet and India in the east, and includes most of the countries of the Mediterranean Basin (including Palestine), The Arabian Peninsula, the Persian Gulf and the Caucasus. The map shows the central trade routes of the Silk Road in the early 18th century.
Engraved map: approx. 88X50 cm (printed on three conjoined sheets of paper). Good condition. Some stains. Small tears to edges (not affecting the engraving). Matted.
