Manuscript, Sefer Yevarech HaZevach, laws of slaughtering, Rabbi Yichye Korach. Yemen, 1901. Especially fine writing, with preface and colophon signed by author Rabbi “Yichye son of Rabbi Chaim son of Rabbi Yosef son of Rabbi Shalom son of Yosef Yehuda Shalom Korach” dated “Monday, 17 of Iyar, 1901”. [The colophon of the copied manuscript which appears in Encyclopedia of Scholars of Yemen, I, p. 560, lists a different date: First of Cheshvan, 1901; apparently this edition is an additional one arranged by the author approximately half a year after the writing of the composition for the first time].
Rabbi Yichye Korach (1843-1908), among the great scholars of Tzena and rabbi of the Yosef O’atz Synagogue and the Chobavra B’Tzena Synagogue. Was greatly involved in the copying of holy books for his livelihood [it is possible that this manuscript is an autograph of the author himself]. Passed away in Egypt on his way to Eretz Israel.
